Backend Engineer, Checkout

Oracle is hiring a Backend Engineer, Checkout to join our fully remote team in the United States. As a Backend Engineer, Checkout, you'll design, build, and ship reliable software that scales to millions of users. This is a contract, work-from-home role open to candidates across the US (Remote — Anywhere in the US). Minimum qualifications: • 2+ years of relevant experience • Proficiency in one or more modern languages (TypeScript, Go, Python, or Java) • Experience with version control and CI/CD • Strong communication in a remote, async environment • Solid understanding of data structures, APIs, and databases Nice to have: • Familiarity with modern collaboration tools (Slack, Notion, Linear) • A growth mindset and eagerness to keep learning
