Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how RemoteHire24("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which we also use.

2. Why we use cookies

  • To keep the Service secure and working as intended.
  • To remember your choices and preferences.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the Service is used so we can improve it.

3. Types of cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

Required for the Service to function. These include the secure admin session cookie that keeps administrators logged in. The Service cannot work properly without them, so they cannot be switched off in our systems.

Preference cookies

Remember choices you make, such as whether you have accepted or dismissed our cookie banner, so we do not ask you again on every visit.

Analytics and performance cookies

Help us understand how visitors interact with the Service by collecting information in aggregate. We only use these where enabled and where permitted by your consent.

4. Specific cookies and storage we set

  • admin_session — a secure, http-only cookie that keeps an administrator signed in. Essential. Expires after about 7 days or on logout.
  • cookie-consent— stored in your browser's local storage to remember that you have responded to the cookie banner. Preference. Persists until you clear it.
  • rh_session — a secure, http-only cookie that keeps a registered candidate signed in. Essential for applying through the site. Expires after a set period or on logout.
  • _fbp / _fbc — set by the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, when enabled, to measure advertising and conversions. Analytics / marketing. Only used with your consent; typically expire within about 90 days.

5. Third-party cookies

Some pages may link to or load third-party services (for example, employer application pages, our hosting provider, or Meta (Facebook) for advertising measurement). Those parties may set their own cookies, governed by their own policies. We do not control third-party cookies. Meta's Pixel is loaded only when tracking is enabled and you have consented; you can read more in our Privacy Policy.

6. How long cookies last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. The expected lifetimes for the cookies we set are listed in section 4 above.

7. Managing and disabling cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies and notify you when a cookie is set. Helpful links:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies.
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies.
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies.
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Service, such as admin login.

8. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond, we do not currently alter our behavior based on these signals, but we keep non-essential tracking to a minimum.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
